You can allow cleaners to edit their own schedule or you can do it as the manager. Please see this article

Are Cleaning Techs able to add/edit notes in Allison?

No, only owners, managers, and assistants can make changes to notes within Allison

1. Navigate to the Employees Page

  • Click on the top-right menu of your Allison dashboard.

  • Select Employees from the dropdown.

Here, you'll see your current team roster—including active and deactivated employees.

2. Click “Add Employee”

  • Look for the Add Employee button at the top of the page and click it. This opens the employee details form.

3. Fill Out Employee Details

You’ll enter:

  • Name

  • Email

  • Phone number

  • Address

  • Position (Owner, Manager, Assistant, Cleaning Technician, Sales Associate)

🔒 Want to add an emergency contact? Just click “Add Emergency Contact.”

4. Assign Roles and Responsibilities

You can assign multiple roles (e.g., a manager who also cleans). If you select Cleaning Technician, you’ll be prompted to fill in:

  • Title (or choose “Not Applicable”)

  • Start Date

  • Pay Structure (Hourly, Percentage, or By Day)

  • Tip Eligibility

  • Availability

5. Set Employee Availability

Use the drag-and-drop calendar to define when the employee is available in 30-minute blocks. For example:

  • Monday: 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Tuesday – Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

  • Friday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Allison automatically calculates their weekly capacity based on these selections.

If you want cleaners to be able to edit/update their own schedule you must turn on that permission under the Cleaner Permission section within Settings. See more information on that here.

6. Finalize and Add the Employee

Click Add Employee to save. Their profile will appear at the top of your employee list.

7. Invite Them to Join Allison

Once added:

  • Click the Invite to Allison button.

  • The employee will receive an email with a link to set up their password and log in using the email you provided.

And that’s it! You’ve successfully added and invited a new team member.

Notice: In Allison, the term ‘Employee’ is used broadly to mean any user you add to Allison (such as cleaners, contractors, admins, managers, etc.) and does not indicate or create a legal employment relationship.
