Some customers tell you upfront: "Always add a tip." Saved Tips let you honor that without remembering to add it manually every time you run a charge.
Set it once per job — and every time you go to charge that invoice, the tip is already there waiting for you.
What is a Saved Tip?
A Saved Tip is a tip amount or percentage you store on a specific job. It can be a flat dollar amount (like $25) or a percentage (like 15%). When you open the Charge modal to collect payment, the saved tip is automatically pre-filled and highlighted — so you don't have to remember to add it.
You can still change or remove the tip at charge time if needed. The saved tip is just a starting point.
Where to add a Saved Tip
You can add a Saved Tip in two places:
Option 1: During the Add Job Flow
While creating a new job, look to the right-hand side of the screen.
Under the pricing summary, find the Saved Tip row.
Click Add to open the tip input.
Enter a dollar amount or percentage, then click Add to save it.
Option 2: From the Edit Job screen
Open any existing job and click Edit Job.
On the right-hand side, find the Saved Tip row under the pricing summary.
Click Add (or Edit if one is already saved).
Enter your amount or percentage and click Add to save.
How it shows up at charge time
When you open the Charge modal to collect payment on a job with a Saved Tip, you'll see a highlighted notice that reads: "[Customer's] saved tip (X%) is applied."
The tip is pre-filled and included in the total automatically. You can remove it or choose a different amount before completing the charge — it's not locked in.
A few things to know
Saved Tips are stored per job, not per customer. If a customer has a recurring job, the tip will be saved for the entire series of jobs.
The tip can be set as a flat dollar amount or a percentage of the invoice total.
Saving a tip does not charge the customer — it only pre-fills the field when you go to collect payment.
You can edit or remove a Saved Tip at any time from the Edit Job screen.
If you edit a Saved Tip for a job on a recurring series, the tip will be updated for all jobs for the series.
