How to configure customer notifications, appointment reminders, invoice delivery, scorecards, and internal business alerts in Allison.

Overview

Allison includes a full set of email and SMS notifications you can configure for both your customers and your internal team. This covers booking confirmations, appointment reminders, invoice delivery, scorecards, payment receipts, and cleaner activity alerts.

All of these are managed from one place: Menu → Settings → Notifications. Press Edit to configure.

Customer Notifications

These are notifications sent directly to your customers.

Booking Confirmation

Trigger: When a job is booked.

Sends your customer a confirmation with the appointment details, your cancellation policy, arrival window, and a link to your terms of service. Turn this on — it sets expectations before the job and protects you if there's a dispute.

Available via Email and SMS.

On My Way

Trigger: When a cleaner taps "On My Way" before a job.

The cleaner selects an estimated arrival time — 15, 30, or 45 minutes — and the customer receives a text automatically. No intermediary needed. The cleaner does this directly from their view in Allison.

Appointment Reminders

Trigger: Before a job starts.

You can send reminders at multiple intervals before the appointment. Current options:

  • 2 hours before

  • 24 hours before

  • 48 hours before

  • 72 hours before

You can enable any combination of these. Most businesses turn on the 2-hour and 24-hour reminders.

Invoice Delivery

Trigger: When a job is completed.

Allison always generates an invoice automatically when a job is completed. This setting controls whether that invoice is also sent to the customer automatically.

Available via Email and SMS. You can also configure the timing of when the invoice is sent.

Scorecards

Trigger: When a job is completed.

Sends a short feedback form with four questions about the customer's experience. You'll receive a notification when they submit it. If you've added your Google Place ID, customers who rate 4+ stars are prompted to leave a Google review.

Available via Email and SMS.

Payment Confirmation

Trigger: When a payment is applied to an invoice.

Sends your customer a receipt confirming payment was received. This works when you charge a card on file through Allison.

The receipt also includes a prompt for the customer to leave a post-payment tip — a good reason to keep this turned on even if you skip automatic invoice delivery.

Business Notifications

These are internal notifications sent to you or your team.

New Job Assigned

Trigger: When a job is booked.

Notifies the assigned cleaner(s) that a new job has been added to their schedule.

Available via Email and SMS.

Daily Job Digest for Cleaners

Trigger: The evening before a workday (6:45 PM).

Sends your cleaners a daily SMS reminder to review their jobs for the next day by logging into Allison. Simple, effective, and prevents morning surprises.

Available via SMS.

Customer Payment Received

Trigger: When a customer pays an invoice.

You receive an email notification when a customer makes a payment. The invoice is automatically reconciled in Allison — no action needed on your end.

Available via Email.

Cleaner Clock In / Clock Out

Trigger: When a cleaner clocks in or out of a job.

Sends you an email alert when your cleaners start and finish jobs. Useful if you're managing remotely and want visibility into who's on-site.

Available via Email.

Cleaner On the Way

Trigger: When a cleaner taps "On My Way."

In addition to the customer receiving an On My Way text, you can also get notified internally so you know your team is en route.
