How to reschedule a jobs start time

B
Written by Blake Wood

Customers change their minds. Life gets in the way. Sometimes you need to bump a job yourself. Here's how to reschedule a single job — or all future jobs for a recurring customer.

Reschedule a single job

  1. Open the job you want to reschedule.

  2. Click Edit, then Reschedule.

  3. Choose a reason:

    • Move — the customer asked to reschedule

    • Bump — you (the business) need to reschedule

  4. Keep the same date or pick a new one, then click Next.

  5. Select a new time. Allison will only show times where the assigned cleaner is available.

  6. Click Done, review the new time, then click Save changes and confirm.

The job duration stays the same by default, but you can adjust it on the same screen if needed.

Reschedule all future jobs for a recurring customer

Use this when a customer wants to permanently change their standing appointment time.

  1. Open the Edit Job view and click Reschedule.

  2. Select Reschedule all future cleans. This updates the current job and every future recurrence.

  3. Keep or change the day of the week, then click Next.

  4. Pick the new time and click Done.

  5. Click Save changes and confirm.

Past jobs stay where they were. Only the current and future jobs move to the new time.

View the change history

Every reschedule is logged. To see what changed and who changed it:

  1. Click on on the 3-dot menu on the job

  2. Select to Job activity from the menu

You'll see the original time, the new time, and the user who made the change.

When to use Move vs. Bump

  • Move — the customer initiated the change. Use this for "Can we do a different time?" situations.

  • Bump — you initiated the change. Use this when a cleaner calls out, equipment breaks, or you need to shuffle the schedule.

Tracking the difference helps you spot patterns — like which customers reschedule often, or how often you're bumping jobs on your end.
