How to Set Up Tiered Pricing by Square Footage

Create custom pricing tiers based on square footage in Allison. This allows your pricing to adjust automatically as property size increases.

What This Does

Instead of using a single (linear) price per square foot, you can define pricing ranges (tiers) with different rates.

Example:

  • 0–1,000 sq ft → $0.18 / sq ft

  • 1,000–2,000 sq ft → $0.16 / sq ft

  • 2,000–3,000 sq ft → $0.13 / sq ft

  • 3,000–4,000 sq ft → $0.11 / sq ft

  • 4,000+ sq ft → $0.09 / sq ft

Once set, Allison will automatically apply the correct pricing based on the property size.

How to Set It Up

1. Go to Services

  • Click the Menu (top right)

  • Select Services

2. Edit a Service

  • Find the service you want to update (e.g., Standard Clean)

  • Click Edit

3. Enable Tiered Pricing

  • Scroll to the Base Pricing section

  • Switch from Linear Square Footage to Tiered Pricing

4. Configure Your Tiers

  • Default tiers (1–5) will be created automatically

  • You can:

    • Edit price per sq ft for each tier

    • Adjust the square footage ranges

    • Add or remove tiers

Each tier will initially use your existing price — you can update from there.

Example Setup

You might configure:

  • Tier 1: 0–999 sq ft → $0.18

  • Tier 2: 1,000–1,999 → $0.16

  • Tier 3: 2,000–2,999 → $0.13

  • Tier 4: 3,000–3,999 → $0.11

  • Tier 5: 4,000+ → $0.09

5. Save Changes

  • Click Save Changes

  • Click Finish

Repeat for any other services as needed.

How It Works in Practice

When scheduling a job:

  • Allison reads the property square footage

  • Automatically matches it to the correct tier

  • Automatically applies the correct price per sqft.

Example:

  • 2,820 sqft → falls into 2,000–2,999 tier → priced at $0.13/sqft

  • 4,000 sqft → falls into highest tier → priced at $0.09/sqft

No manual adjustments required.

Key Notes

  • Pricing is applied automatically based on property details

  • You only need to configure tiers once

  • Works alongside other pricing models (hourly, flat rate, linear)
