Service areas are optional. If you prefer no geographic restrictions on your account, simply leave this section blank.
What You Can Do with Service Areas
Group zip codes into named service areas (e.g., "South Nashville", "North Nashville")
Assign one or more cleaners to service areas
Automatically detect when a customer or lead is outside your coverage zone
See cleaner-to-area matching when creating or scheduling a job
Setting Up Service Areas
Step 1: Open Company Settings
Click the menu icon in the top-right corner of your Allison account
Select Settings

Scroll to the bottom of the page to find the Service Areas section
Step 2: Add a Service Area
Click Add Service Area
Enter a name for the area (e.g., "South Nashville")
Add the zip codes that belong to this area — you can add as many as needed
Optionally, assign cleaners to this area directly from this screen
Click Add to save
You can create as many service areas as your business requires. Each area can have its own unique set of zip codes and cleaners.
Assigning Cleaners to Service Areas
Cleaners can be assigned to service areas in two ways:
Option 1: During Setup
When creating or editing a service area in Company Settings, you'll see a section to add cleaners directly. Select the cleaners you want to assign before saving.
Option 2: From the Employee Profile
Go to the employee's profile
Click Edit
Scroll down to the Service Area section
Click Edit and select the service area(s)
Click Save
A cleaner can be assigned to multiple service areas. Simply select all relevant areas from their profile or during setup.
What Cleaners See
Once assigned, cleaners can view their service areas directly from their own Allison account. They can go to Menu → Profile to see which areas they're associated with. This gives them visibility into the regions they're expected to cover.
How Service Areas Work When Scheduling
Customer & Lead Detection
When a customer submits a request-a-quote form through Allison, the system checks their zip code against your defined service areas. If they're outside your coverage zones, show that person a notice that they are outside of your service area.
You can still schedule a job for a customer outside your service area — Allison surfaces that information so you can make an informed decision.
Creating a Job
When adding a new job, Allison groups your cleaners by service area:
Cleaners assigned to the customer's service area are displayed first
Cleaners outside that area are still visible but clearly distinguished
You can assign any cleaner to any job — the grouping is for clarity, not a hard restriction
Service Areas and the Request a Quote Form
If you have service areas defined, Allison will validate the zip code submitted through your public-facing quote form. Leads from outside your coverage zones will be flagged so you're not getting unqualified leads. However, if you don't want geographic filtering on your quote form, leave the Service Areas section blank in Company Settings.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to set up service areas? No. Service areas are completely optional. If you leave the section blank, Allison places no geographic limitations on your account.
Can a cleaner be in more than one service area? Yes. You can assign a cleaner to as many service areas as needed, either from their employee profile or during service area setup.
What happens if I schedule a job for a customer outside my service area? Allison will alert you that the customer is outside your defined zones, but won't block you from scheduling the job. You stay in full control.
Where do I find my service areas after setting them up? Go to Menu → Settings → Company Settings and scroll to the bottom of the page.
I have a large number of zip codes — do I have to enter them one by one? No need to do it manually. Reach out to our support team at [email protected] and we can help you get your zip codes bulk uploaded.
