What it means to “save to your home screen”
When you save a Progressive Web App (PWA) like Allison to your phone’s home screen, it starts working a lot like a regular mobile app. Instead of opening in a browser tab with the usual address bar and menus, it launches in its own standalone window.
Because PWAs are built with modern web technology, they bring many of the same benefits as native apps without needing to go through an app store:
Quick access: You’ll see the app’s icon right on your home screen—just tap to open.
App-like experience: The app runs full screen, with smooth navigation and no browser distractions.
Automatic updates: You always have the latest version without needing to download updates manually.
